Another non-specific blog update

I don't have anything coherent to say at the moment, just some scattered remarks ...

If you want to know what I think about what's going on in Egypt, I posted here in the discussion section (near the bottom of the page) ...

One of the guys whose blog I read, Greg Bacon, sent a request to the Federal Reserve (the group of private banks who essentially print and control the US Dollar) asking simple questions about what kind of wage and benefit package the board members receive.

"...[A]t first, they stalled, saying they were too busy to reply."

Then they sent this email:

Dear Mr. Bacon:

Thank you for your most recent correspondence concerning compensation for Federal Reserve Board members.

To obtain the information you requested, you must file a Freedom of Information request. The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. § 552, provides that any person has a right of access to federal agency records, unless the records (or any portion of the records) are protected from disclosure by one of FOIA's nine exemptions or by one of three special law enforcement record exclusions. The Federal Reserve Board maintains public and nonpublic records. Public records are available at the Board's conventional reading room and electronic reading room. A FOIA request is not required to obtain these materials. For details, please refer to federalreserve.gov/generalinfo/foia/request.cfm.

I hope this information is helpful, and again, we apologize for the delay in response to your previous inquiries.

Sincerely,
LOD
Board Staff

I agree with Mr. Bacon's assessment:
"The Federal Reserve is one of the biggest con games in the history of humanity.

To pay interest to borrow your OWN money is criminal."

Did you watch Obama's speech last night?

I'll admit I only watched about about 10 minutes of it before I got bored. I think it was nice that a few Republicans and Democrats opted to sit next to each other for a change, but whoop-de-doo -- they all work for the same people anyway, when all is said and done. They take their orders from AIPAC, corporations and banksters. I'm listening to Mike Rivero and it's pretty telling from what he says *wasn't* mentioned in Obama's speech that this is the case. Consider:

Obama didn't mention the worst environmental disaster, the #1 story of the year, in his address -- the BP oil spill! That's like Bush not mentioning Hurricane Katrina. That's just ... that's just *wrong*. How can you not address that?

Obama didn't mention the attack of a Palestinian aid ship by Israeli militants in international waters, whereupon an American citizen was shot in the head *four* times. I know the mainstream media wants us to forget this, but it happened.

Obama didn't mention the massive mortgage fraud perpetrated on Americans that led to thousands of foreclosures last year. What's up with that?

Just who the hell is running our country, anyway???

Collapse can't be hidden any longer

This guy makes a lot of sense. I admit that the Tuscon shootings are a fascinating distraction, but they are a distraction nonetheless, and quite obviously so (just yesterday the TV news channels were still talking about it 24/7). There really is a lot of other stuff going on, stuff they aren't talking about. One of the biggest topics is the pending economic collapse (and then of course there's the dying animals ...)

"Something's really wrong, here ..."

That's what was going through my head as I watched Obama speak at the memorial for the Tuscon shootings yesterday. It had an inspiring, feel-good tone to it ... almost too feel-good for what was, after all, supposed to be a memorial. It reminded me of one of his old "hope and change" political rallies.

What nagged at me was that I really don't think Loughner was an accident ... sure he's nuts, and crazy people with the means to kill their local representatives do in fact exist, but the more I look into this the more it starts to seem less and less like a freak occurrence and more and more like it was deliberately set up to crank up the fear and turn up the heat on all government critics (from both extremes -- left *and* right).

Consider his "favorite books", among which are listed Hitler's Mein Kampf and Marx's Communist Manifesto. I can see how, if you're an intellectual, you'd have both those books in your library to have a well-rounded grasp of history ... but to say they're both your "favorite books" is like saying Ann Coulter and Noam Chomsky are your favorite writers ... it doesn't make any sense! Other "favorite books" include the Wizard of Oz and Alice and Wonderland. Here's what this essay about MK Ultra (mind control) has to say about them: "Some of the first programming themes included the Wizard of Oz and Alice and Wonderland, both heavily saturated with occultic symbolism."

Seeing pictures of this guy presents another contradiction. The earliest photo shows him as a long-hair hippie type, and we've all heard the stories that he's a pot-head. Yet we've also heard he wanted to join the military, he's into the Ron Paul/tea party concept of alternative currency, and the latest pictures show him looking like a skin-head cross between Freddy Kruger and Jason from Friday the 13th. (Speaking of weird resemblences ... someone from Portland Indymedia pointed out how much Loughner looks like Congresswoman Giffords' husband, Scott Kelly)

Well, anyway, check out this post on Portland Indymedia:

Speaking of something being really wrong ... I found this post on SNIPPITS and SNAPPITS very disturbing:
TIMELINE OF RECENT MYSTERIOUS BIRD, FISH DEATHS

So for the past month there have been massive bird and fish kills reported almost every day, world-wide. What's up with that???

Things I find curious about the AZ shooting

* A federal judge just happened to have been in the crowd and was shot and killed. That makes this a federal crime to be tried in federal court (I don't think shooting a congressperson is a federal crime if it did not occur on U.S. federal property).

* Judy Clarke, who represented "Unabomber" Ted Kaczynski and assisted in the case of confessed al-Qaeda operative Zacarias Moussaoui, has been appointed to represent Jared Lee Loughner, the man charged by federal authorities with two murders as well as the attempted assassination of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) and two others. She is also the attorney who represented Timothy Mc Veigh at the Oklahoma City bombing case.

* Gabby Giffords was the representative that read the first amendment in Congress a few days ago ... including the passage about "the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

* One of the victims was born on September 11th, 2001.

The mystery of the falling birds

I'm sure it will come as no surprise to anyone who reads my blog regularly that I've always been a bit fascinated with signs and portents (probably too much, but at least I'm paying attention). Right now I'm trying to figure out what might have possibly caused birds to fall out of the sky over Arkansas over New Year's. Now we have a report that even more recently, more birds dropped out of the sky over Louisiana (which should put to rest the theory the initial kill was caused by fireworks) and there have been massive fish kills in Arkansas (which scientists assure us is an unrelated event). Unrelated? Hmmm. I read another report that says the birds have been studied and it appears they weren't poisoned -- their stomachs were empty. Cause of death: blunt trauma to their internal organs. But what caused that? Hail? HAARP? Here's an interesting recent article about Directed Energy Weapons (... speaking of Mind Control ...).

Here's a link that proposes to tie these weird events together, including the freak earthquake we had here in Northeast Indiana (I slept right through it). At any rate, it doesn't seem like a very promising time for the future, does it? Today is the day of a solar eclipse, which Hindus and Buddhists say makes the energy of mantras particularly strong. Say a positive mantra for the healing of the planet today, won't you? ("Aum mani padme hum" is a longtime favorite).

Who are the Love Police?

I love these guys. :)

Banning nature, pushing drugs

Happy new year, everybody! Let's fight to keep the pharmaceutical companies' dirty mitts off our kids and out of our gardens. Just saw these two stories on Vigilant Citizen today:

Europe to ban hundreds of herbal remedies

So Young and So Many Pills: More than 25% of Kids and Teens in the U.S. Take Prescriptions on a Regular Basis

This modern-day witch hunt against herbal remedies and pushing dangerous drugs has hit fever pitch during the last few years. I'm not that old and I've witnessed profound changes in my own lifetime. It wasn't that long ago that prescription drug commercials on TV were illegal. Now it seems every other commercial on daytime TV is for some drug or other, with a special emphasis on erectile dysfunction and freshly packaged "diseases" like having to go to the bathroom too much, or having yellow toe nails. When I was a kid, I didn't know of anyone in my classroom that had pills administered to them on a regular basis. Now this type of thing is commonplace. Our our kids any healthier? Happier? I'd say less so. BTW, whatever happened to playing outside? >:/
