"Something's really wrong, here ..."

That's what was going through my head as I watched Obama speak at the memorial for the Tuscon shootings yesterday. It had an inspiring, feel-good tone to it ... almost too feel-good for what was, after all, supposed to be a memorial. It reminded me of one of his old "hope and change" political rallies.

What nagged at me was that I really don't think Loughner was an accident ... sure he's nuts, and crazy people with the means to kill their local representatives do in fact exist, but the more I look into this the more it starts to seem less and less like a freak occurrence and more and more like it was deliberately set up to crank up the fear and turn up the heat on all government critics (from both extremes -- left *and* right).

Consider his "favorite books", among which are listed Hitler's Mein Kampf and Marx's Communist Manifesto. I can see how, if you're an intellectual, you'd have both those books in your library to have a well-rounded grasp of history ... but to say they're both your "favorite books" is like saying Ann Coulter and Noam Chomsky are your favorite writers ... it doesn't make any sense! Other "favorite books" include the Wizard of Oz and Alice and Wonderland. Here's what this essay about MK Ultra (mind control) has to say about them: "Some of the first programming themes included the Wizard of Oz and Alice and Wonderland, both heavily saturated with occultic symbolism."

Seeing pictures of this guy presents another contradiction. The earliest photo shows him as a long-hair hippie type, and we've all heard the stories that he's a pot-head. Yet we've also heard he wanted to join the military, he's into the Ron Paul/tea party concept of alternative currency, and the latest pictures show him looking like a skin-head cross between Freddy Kruger and Jason from Friday the 13th. (Speaking of weird resemblences ... someone from Portland Indymedia pointed out how much Loughner looks like Congresswoman Giffords' husband, Scott Kelly)

Well, anyway, check out this post on Portland Indymedia:

Speaking of something being really wrong ... I found this post on SNIPPITS and SNAPPITS very disturbing:
TIMELINE OF RECENT MYSTERIOUS BIRD, FISH DEATHS

So for the past month there have been massive bird and fish kills reported almost every day, world-wide. What's up with that???
